CRONO AND CRONO 30
FOR TREATMENT
OF THALASSAEMIA
The CRONO pump is an electronic device
that allows one to infuse intravenous or enteral
therapy in a precise manner in terms of time
and dose and it is used for the daily infusion
treatment of deferoxamine (DFO) and drug
administration as well. Therapy can be
continuous if administered continuously over
a 24-hour period, or intermittent if carried out
at specific times and of short duration. CRONO
and CRONO 30 pumps deliver shots with a
programmable volume, at intervals that
depend on the set flow. The time interval
between shots decreases proportionally as the
programmed flow increases. CRONO and
CRONO 3O are suitable for DFO treatments.

daily activities during therapy.
• Accuracy of the volume and of the drug
that is administered
• Accuracy in the speed of administration
• Possibility to set and regulate even very
small quantities of the drug
• Possibility to quickly and precisely vary the infusion rate.
